India has rich divercity of medicinal plants. The supply base of 90% herbal row drugs used in the manufacture of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and homeopathic system of medicine in largely from the wild. The wild source is rapidly shrinking day-by-day. Therefore, there is a need for comemation and sustainable use of medicinal plants.
The cultivation of the following medicinal plants is undertaken:
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)
Mandookpami (Centella asiatica)
Kutki (Picrorhiza kurroa)
Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana)
Hoodia (Hoodia gerdonii)
Artemisia (Artemisia annua) |
